Welcome to every game of strategy ever created by anyone ever. Certain combinations of skills are better than others, and always will be. As such, most players gravitate towards the better skills. Grabbing a random selection of skills doesn't really seem very fun to me, it seems like flailing helplessly at my keyboard.
That being said, there's still plenty of room for creativity and individuality within the bounds of stuff that's good. Most regular posters here have different playstyles, different bars that they like to run, and different talents. For instance, I tend to prefer a more defensive playstyle so I can take a nap in the middle of combat, while other prefer a more aggressive playstyle so they can finish sooner, and then take their naps.

I can't see any reason why not to run a IAS, aside from a Steady Stancer or a Warrior's Endurance warrior, I simply can't find any reason. A warrior is the most focused profession in GW, it hits things a lot with a axe/sword/hammer and sometime scythes. Nearly all their skills are around to help you hits things harder and faster and thus they're overall the best at hitting things (sins and dervishes need rely plenty on energy, a warrior doesn't as much while a Paragon isn't as good DPS or spiker I think).
A warriors best attacks are adrenaline based and so being able to use them as much as possible is a god send which is what hitting more often does. The increased damage from simply auto-attacking with a IAS allows you both to kill things faster simply by hitting things as well as charging up your skills faster, really it's a win-win situation.
In PvE, a speed boost isn't totally necessary but really nearly every warrior should be packing Enraging Charge so that point is moot. Anyway, is it that hard to simply bring 2 skills? You still have room for 6 other skills

Well, wow there's a lot to read.
So basically everyone's suggesting that I use dragon slash. Having tried it out with FgJ in the BMP It does seem kinda good, and you can spam it because with FGJ you get enough aden per it to use it continuously.
I only play PvE, I guess I should've stated that at the beginning.
I'm using a major rune to get my swordsmanship respectably high enough with the points I've spread around. I've got a super vigor too, so I'm not too low on health. Are they just not worth it? I always feel that I should at least have a major rune in my damaging attribute.
I do take a res when I'm in a group, but with H/H (like normal) I'm not so bothered about being the only one alive, I can live with the embarrassment.
So what about:
[skill]Dragon Slash[/skill][skill]"For Great Justice!"[/skill][skill]Flail[/skill][skill]Enraging Charge[/skill][skill]"Watch Yourself!"[/skill][skill]Sever Artery[/skill][skill]Gash[/skill][skill]Disarm[/skill]
-------
I'm ignoring the war in this thread btw. IMO Kalle's reviews were interesting. Guru does stifle peoples views that arn't respected as the norm. However I can understand that actually there are people that know more about GW than me, that's why I post here for advice.
Kalle, I thought a lot of people acted badly to your reviews, I don't know why. So what if your opinions differ? I would've though us adults here would debate in a more mature way, not just "You idiot, you don't know a think". Sorry you had to get caught up in another war in this thread.

That looks quite ok mazey. Personally I'd replace disarm with enduring harmony for more DSlash lovin but this'll work just fine.
An average DSlasher mostly has brawling headbut and sy instead of sever/gash. But that's up to you IMO. Altho keeping someone knocked for 30sec is pretty damn fun(and usefull)

That's his own fault really, I'm not participating in it but he's simply so awfully wrong that it's not even fun to watch.

You've really got the core of the build nailed down, anything else is really just tweaks for what you like.
For PvE, I'd suggest not bothering with sever/gash. By the time you deep wound something it'll be dead anyway. Standing slash and sun and moon slash are always nice.
Like squishy said, brawling headbutt, enduring harmony, and save yourselves are all sorts of ridiculousness once you get your PvE skills.

No need to be sorry buddy. Your not flaming me, your not the cause of this, so no need to be sorry. You asked for help, I offered a build I thought may help you. If you don't want to use it, its okay with me, if you do hey thats just a bonus. I tried to help, thats all.

IAS boosts your damage output with 50%. Give me one reason why you would not take it?

Speed boost isn't that needed in PvE, but yes an IAS is a staple on a warrior. If you don't bring an IAS, you fail.

Originality fails if your build sucks.

Originality is just fine, it can even be a less than efficient build, as long as your thread title is Alternative builds meant for Fun Play.
I've run almost every build you can name and quite a few that nobody could think of a good name for(plenty of bad names I'm sure).
The biggest thing is to know when to use what build, I don't run my Meteor Shower war build when I join a party looking to do the Deep or complete a mission on Hard Mode.
But if im just with Hench/Heros and wish to kill some time I'll drop the Dslash or Tripple chop for something less effective just to have a little fun.
I've run builds in RA that I'd kicked my own best friend out of my guild for suggesting in a GvG match, not that my guild ever GvG's but you get the idea.
If your making a thread with builds that are just for fun or something totaly bizzare, give the thread title some thought before you post or your just asking for flames.
